The Parenting Children Course

The Parenting Course is for any parent with children up to the age of 10. The course, while based on Christian principles, is relevant and helpful for any parent with or without a Christian faith or church background.

The Parenting Course consists of 5 sessions on the 21, 28 May, 4, 18 & 25 June from 4:00pm - 6:00pm

To make it easier for both parents to attend the course, we are offering child care. All the people involved in caring for children have appropriate Working With Children's Checks and have been trained and certified by ChildSafe. While it is preferable that both parents attend, we recognise that this can be challenging for those with young children. It is fine for one parent to attend, or you could swap over each week.

The authors of The Parenting Children Course and The Parenting Book, Nicky and Sila Lee, have worked with couples and families for over twenty years and speak regularly on parenting.

WHAT DOES THE PARENTING CHILDREN COURSE COVER?

The parenting course includes a talk, with opportunities for discussion in small groups, followed by a light meal for the whole family.

Jenny Wraight will be host of the Parenting Children Course. Jenny is a qualified Early Childhood Education teacher with many years experience in the area of child development and early years education. Jenny also has experience working in children and family ministry in churches, and currently fulfills the role of 'Children and Family Ministries Coordinator with CCCVaT (Christian Community Churches Victoria and Tasmania). Jenny has traveled the parenting journey through a broad range of life experiences and raised 3 children with her husband David in various ministry roles, each presenting pressures and opportunities for the family. Using The Parenting Children Course, Jenny will walk the often bumpy, but always valuable and rewarding, parenting road with you!
